Is it nuts to gift a jar of $25 fudge sauce. Not if it’s Heavens to Betsy. For one thing, it’s a lot more creative than bringing another bottle of wine to the next dinner party you’re invited to. It’ll say you actually put some thought into it, which we think most people really appreciate. Plus, we package it in an elegant custom gift box — something that says “hey, you’re pretty special” to whomever you give it to. That’s kind of nice.
Speaking of nice, all of our scratch-made, small-batch, Heavens to Betsy hot fudge sauces are a distinct departure from the sweet varieties most people know, Yet of them all, our Almond flavor sometimes provokes the mention of “amaretto.” We admit, almond does lend a hint of sweetness… but just enough to complement the toasty richness and depth of the indescribably dark chocolate. And it’s not just any dark chocolate. Our particular version is made from fair trade-sourced, 99.99% pure Nacional cacao from Peru. The only one. Fresh heavy cream and velvety butter make it silky smooth, too.
So, is it worth it? Of course we’re going to say yes. We make it, after all. But if you try gifting some Almond Heavens to Betsy to someone, we think you’ll find out from their reaction that we have good reason to think so.
